2018 CREATIVITY BOOK: CALL FOR CHAPTERS

Dear Colleague,

It is with an immense pleasure to invite you to submit a proposal for a chapter in the 2018 KIE Conference Book Series entitled ‘Creativity and Innovation in the STEM Education’ to be edited by Dr Fredricka K. Reisman, Director of the Drexel-Torrance Centre for Creativity and Innovation and Interim and former President of the American Creativity Association.

The book will be published in early June 2018, before the KIE Conference opens in Prague, Czech Republic, in July. As always, each conference registered participant will receive a free print copy; non-participants will access the book online.

The Conference will publish a four-page newsletter that showcases award-wining *authors – in addition to being recognised at the conference.

The deadline for submission of a 200-word summary of your proposed chapter is Tuesday 31 January 2018. Notification of acceptance takes place as and when a proposer is received; but final (batch) notification will take place between 5-9 February 2018. The absolute deadline for final chapter submission, camera-ready, is 30 April 2018. Publication date:  4th June 2018. The absolute word limit per chapter including references is 15,000. ALL tables, charts, and graphs must be CAMERA-READY and NO foot notes please. References should be APA. The book size is 16cmx23cm.

PS: *Recognition Award for Best Papers

The Best Paper Recognition Awards are presented to the individuals judged by the Creativity Experts Panel of the KIE International Advisory Board to have written the best papers appearing in the annual KIE creativity volume. The award criteria are:

  1. broad interest,
  2. clear and scholarly presentation,
  3. APA format,
  4. research or essay focus, and
  5. scholarly presentation.

Participants have a choice. You can choose to submit your papers for consideration for publication in the conference recommended journals or take advantage of the publication opportunities offered by the conference.

OPTION I: Publish your work in the KIE Conference Publications

We guarantee publication of your paper in the following books with individual ISBN identification numbers:

2)  Creativity and Innovation in STEM Education

      (Editor-reviewed Book; ISBN identified)

OPTION II: Publish your work in the Conference associated journal

The International Journal of Knowledge, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (IJKIE) is 2018 KIE Conference associated journal. The journal is completely independent of the KIE conference but registered participants have the opportunity to send their papers directly to the journal for consideration for publication in the journal following the peer review process.  To submit paper to the journal, please follow the journal’s submission guidelines and send your paper directly to the editor@ijkie.org. The IJKIE journal will publish conference papers on a first come first served basis in order of registration. In order words, early registration is recommended.

OPTION III: Publish your work in the Conference recommended Journals

Presenters are encouraged to submit their papers as articles for publication in the following peer-reviewed journals:

1) Journal of Technology Transfer

2) Journal of Knowledge Management

3) Creativity and Innovation Management

4) International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research

5) The International Journal of Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology Management
